Details

Dhaivat Shah is a photographer and visual artist living and working in Gujarat, India. His works revolve around intervention and how it can play an important role in changing or puncturing our perceptions and preconceived notions. His work also questions our understanding of human relationships with the land, landscape, and non-human living entities. He recently completed his Masters in Fine Arts from Shiv Nadar University, Noida, after finishing his bachelor’s in Fine Arts from MS University, Vadodara in 2018.

 

His practice ranges from using photography as a tool, medium, and concept to creating the immersive installation. His conceptual inquiry dwells into the depths of the proliferation of representation, public and popular perceptions of landscape.

Awards

He has been awarded with category winner, India's top 100, canon Wild Clicks Season 6 in 2017 and Khoj support(mentorship) network with Vishal K. Dar & Indranjan Banerjee.
